Mudge Field

Situated along our lake shore with beautiful views of Winnipesaukee and an outfield backed by iconic New England forests is Mudge Field, home to Brewster’s baseball and softball teams.

In 2015 Brewster dedicated its baseball field in honor of longtime trustee, outgoing chair of the Board of Trustees, and alumni parent, Daniel T. Mudge P’98, ’02. It will forever be known as Mudge Field.

Now Trustee Emeritus, Dan first became associated with the Academy in 1994 when his eldest daughter enrolled at Brewster. Dan and his wife, Kathy, became increasingly more involved with the school, first as Chairs of the Parents' Association in 1997, then as members of the Board of Trustees. Dan became Treasurer of the Board in 1999 and served as chair of the Finance and Budget Committee. He was elected Chair in 2001, a position he held until June 30, 2015.

Brewster’s baseball field was selected to recognize Dan’s lifelong affection for the game of baseball, naming it for a man who has given so much of his time, talents, and support to the school. Dan is a remarkable example to so many others of what "service above self" looks like. His example will continue to make Brewster Academy better, stronger, and even more vibrant than it is today.
