Climbing students will work daily in Brewster's own climbing barn on campus learning the skills and techniques associated with climbing & repelling. Field trips will take place weekly to local crags in the beautiful White Mountains - performing climbs suited for beginner, intermediate, and advanced level climbers. Some activities like kayaking and hiking will also be a part of this afternoon program.
Faculty Bio:
Jonathan Browher is a member of the History department faculty, as well as the coordinator for the afternoon Outdoor Skills program & organizer of the WHOA (Winter Hikes & Outdoors Adventures) Interim Studies experience. His interests include hiking, wilderness backpacking, climbing, paddling, & backcountry skiing. He has hiked all 48 of New Hampshire's 4000-foot peaks. He is AMGA-certified as a Single-Pitch and Climbing Wall Instructor and holds Wilderness First Aid certification through SOLO.
