Brewster Celebrates 2025 uniball National Signing Day

The Grayson Student Center roared with pride on Friday, November 14, as the Brewster community—students, families, coaches, faculty, and staff—came together for our 2025 uniball National Signing Day, a high-energy celebration honoring 19 outstanding student-athletes committing to continue with athletic competition next year at the collegiate level.

The event, presented in partnership with uniball, transformed the main floor of the student center into a true signing-day stage, complete with custom branding, media lighting, and the unmistakable buzz that only a milestone moment can bring. Parents stood shoulder-to-shoulder with coaches; students lined the walls cheering for their friends; faculty and staff applauded each commitment call as names were announced one by one.

Throughout the night, each student stepped forward to sign an agreement with their future college, symbolizing both a proud conclusion to years of dedication and the exciting beginning of their collegiate careers. Commitments spanned Division I and Division III programs across the country, representing Men's Basketball, Men's Golf, Women's Ice Hockey, Men's Lacrosse, Men's Rowing, Women's Rowing, and Women's Soccer. Among the many impressive placements were commitments to highly regarded institutions such as Marquette University, Trinity College, Colgate University, Fairfield University, and Kenyon College, reflecting the strength of Brewster's athletic and academic pathways.

I couldn't be more proud of our student-athletes," said Connor Wells, Brewster's Athletic Director. "Being part of this celebration and watching these young women and men recognized for their integrity, leadership, and dedication, right in front of their families, peers, and mentors, was an incredible privilege." As he closed the ceremony, Wells spoke directly to the students: "I please ask that you do not forget and always appreciate those who sacrificed and encouraged you to help you achieve your dreams. And please never forget your Bobcat family. Brewster is a place you may always call home."

In a highlight that drew some of the loudest cheers of the night, uniball awarded two $1,000 uniball Grant Scholarships to Darien Moore '26 of Hudson, N.Y. (Seton Hall men's basketball) and Romane Lanni '26 of Prévost, Quebec Canada (Canisius women's soccer), recognizing not only their athletic accomplishments, but the character, leadership, and strong representation of Brewster's community core values they bring to campus every day.

The evening showcased what makes the Brewster experience so special: a community that rallies behind its students, celebrates their passions, and champions their dreams. From local families to international students, from longtime coaches to first-year teachers, the sense of shared pride was unmistakable.

Congratulations to all of our 2025 Bobcat signees, your hard work, resilience, and commitment have brought you to this moment, and we cannot wait to see you thrive at the next level.
