Brewster Academy Athletics

Sydney Ford began her rowing career at Bedford Crew in Bedford, NH. After high school, she competed in Division I rowing and served as team captain at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. During her tenure at Marist, she helped her team win at the prestigious Head of the Charles, many Head of the Fish titles, and two consecutive MAAC conference titles - earning the team back to back automatic bids to compete at the NCAA Championships. 

Coach Ford also previously trained and competed at the elite level at Riverside Boat Club in Boston, and ARION in Saratoga Springs, NY. Before coming to Brewster, Sydney Ford previously coached at Bedford Crew, helping the team qualify three consecutive years for the NEIRA Championships and finish in a program-best 5th place in the girls First Eight in 2025. She continues to row and compete for Independence Rowing Club in Nashua, NH.  

Her extensive experience competing and coaching will provide great leadership for the next chapter of Brewster Crew.  Coach Ford will be an exceptional resource for those Brewster athletes learning the sport as well as our Varsity Crew members ambitious to row in college.
