Mr. Reynolds returned to Brewster in 2008 to teach English. He previously taught at the Academy for four years and was attracted back by the “great people, extraordinary natural setting, and innovative practices.”
“I tend to be more philosophical and open minded about pedagogy,” he says. “I prefer the Socratic approach, experiential education, and I like a cross-discipline approach to everything. All knowledge is connected in my world.”
Before returning to Brewster, Mr. Reynolds taught at Exeter High School and Pembroke Academy. He has also taught at a private day school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Reynolds enjoys being a doting father to his two daughters, physical activity of any kind, writing, and photography. He also is the Head Coach of Brewster’s Snowboard program and is an Assistant Coach on the Girls' Varsity Lacrosse staff, working with the goaltenders.
