Tim Cushing joined Brewster’s Office of College Counseling in 2017 as the assistant director. “I loved Brewster’s philosophy on college counseling, the community, and the campus,” he says of what drew him to Brewster. “I wanted to truly make a difference in students’ lives through mentoring and helping them through the college process.”
Prior to coming to Brewster, Mr. Cushing spent seven years working in college admission in Massachusetts, at Stonehill College, Babson College, and Wheaton College. He has served on a variety of different committees for the New England Associate for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC), currently serving in the role as Chair of the Summer Institute.
A former college tennis player, he is the Boys’ Varsity Tennis coach and is an Assistant Coach for the Boys’ Prep Basketball Team under Head Coach, Jason Smith. Mr. Cushing is the Director of the Nike U.S. Sports Camp Tennis Camp here at Brewster Academy during the summer.
When not helping students navigate the college admission process and coaching, Mr. Cushing enjoys playing and listening to music, sports, working out, boating on the lake, and spending time with his family and friends.
