Bobcat of the Week: Charlie Pugh '25

A leader in practice. Vocal. Demanding of himself and his teammates. A skilled tactician who works tirelessly to perfect his craft. Coachable. Community servant.  These characteristics define our Bobcat of the Week, Charlie Pugh '25, a stellar member and major contributor to the Boys' Prep AAA Basketball team. This past weekend at the Zero Gravity Basketball Classic in Massachusetts, our player had an impressive showing in the team's win versus Brooks School. During a small run by Brooks early in the second half, this Bobcat shooting guard took a spot up jumper right next to the Brewster bench, producing an "and one" opportunity. He buried the free throw. And this play led to a scoring spree from Charlie, who hit a series of three-pointers in successive possessions. The momentum he provided at this juncture led to a Brewster 30-point victory. Perhaps most special about our Bobcat's week on the court, though, was his instruction and coaching of the Boys' JVB basketball team prior to the weekend's games back on campus—assisting Coach Goodale and his players with skill and drill work. This display of servant leadership may have been Brewster's biggest victory of the week. Congratulations to Charlie Pugh, Class of 2025, from Greenwood Village, Colorado.
