A four-year member of the Boys' Varsity Hockey team, veteran Bobcat Travis Gillen '26 has had a hot start to the season with five points in only three games. Versus Northfield Mount Hermon in the team's home opener—in front of a Bobcat Nation sold out crowd at the Pop Whalen Arena—he could not be stopped. Scoring three goals and adding an assist from the forward position, he propelled the Bobcats to a massive 6 to 2 victory over NMH. And, this past week versus rival Vermont Academy, he added another goal to the stat sheet. Travis does not just shoot well, he absolutely FIRES the puck. Quick release, elite hands in tight spaces, accuracy and deception on his shot make our Bobcat the elite scorer that he is. And most importantly he is a tremendous senior leader: This Charlestown, Mass. native is a great mentor and role model to the younger players on the team. He always does what is needed—what is in the best interest of the team first. Congratulations Bobcat of the Week, Travis Gillen, Class of 2026.
