WINCHENDON, MA — The Brewster Academy Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team put on an offensive clinic this afternoon, securing a decisive 21-6 victory over The Winchendon School. The Bobcats set the tone early with a blistering first half and never looked back, showcasing a balanced and relentless attack.
Offensive Explosion
The Brewster offense was firing on all cylinders, led by a massive 8-point performance from Mikey Anger, who tallied 6 goals and 2 assists. He was well-supported by Owen Tucker (4G, 2A) and Robby Koch, who distributed the ball beautifully with 3 goals and 3 assists.
Charlie Martin also secured a hat trick (3G, 1A), while Will Baldwin played the role of playmaker with a team-high 4 assists to go along with his 2 goals. A major highlight of the day was Madox Gregory finding the back of the net twice to record his first career Varsity goals. Other contributors included Jacob Booth (1G, 1A), Bradyn Connell (1G, 1A), and Tim Halleron, who notched 3 assists.
Possession and Defense
The victory was anchored by total dominance at the faceoff X. JR Bonia was nearly unstoppable, winning 76.7% of his draws and vacuuming up 9 ground balls to keep the Brewster offense in constant possession.
Defensively, the Bobcats remained disciplined and physical. Jonathan Dion was a force on the wings and in the clearing game with 6 ground balls, while Jack Cuddy led the defense with 2 caused turnovers to stifile the Winchendon transition.
