It was a memorable afternoon on Brown Field as Brewster Academy celebrated its Class of 2026, honoring 16 seniors in a pregame ceremony before securing a hard-fought 9-4 victory over Lakes Region Conference rival Tilton School. The crucial win sets the Bobcats up to control their own destiny in the upcoming Lakes Region Tournament.
The Bobcat offense got off to a slow, methodical start against a disciplined Tilton defense. Brewster struck twice in the opening frame to hold a narrow 2-1 lead, followed by a completely scoreless second quarter from both sides. Leading just 2-1 at the half, Brewster relied heavily on its defensive unit to stay ahead.
The Bobcats found their rhythm in the second half, clamping down defensively while the offense began to click. Brewster blanked Tilton in the third quarter while adding two goals of their own, before exploding for five goals in the fourth quarter to answer a late Tilton push and secure the victory.
Brewster dominated the possession game, peppering the Tilton cage with 47 shots and winning the battle on the turf with 42 ground balls.
Player Highlights:
Owen Tucker led the offensive surge with 4 goals, while Robby Koch provided balanced production with 2 goals and 1 assist. Mikey Anger, Jacob Booth, and Brayden McKenna each added a goal to the stat sheet. Defensively, Quinn Dufort anchored the defense with 11 crucial saves, Jacob Booth disrupted the Tilton offense with 3 caused turnovers, and Will Baldwin led a relentless riding effort with 6 ground balls.
Looking ahead, Brewster hits the road to take on Hebron next, before wrapping up the regular season with a pair of massive conference matchups against Kimball Union Academy and Proctor Academy to lock up postseason positioning.
