Brewster Academy Athletics

The winningest Crew program in Brewster Academy history, this group of boys exemplified commitment, hard work, and continual improvement in both their fall and spring seasons. Most new to the sport of rowing upon entering Brewster (recruited on campus by Coach Nick Docter), the 2010-2011 Boys Crew team produced exceptional results impressive to any. Led by their Varsity 4+ of Ryan Ingram ’11, John Steensma ’12, Cameron Bierwith ’11, and Hunter Holtz ’11, with cox Leah Soboroff ’12, this boat had a First Place finish at the Head of the Merrimack, First Place Finish at the New Hampshire Championships, First Place Finish at the Philadelphia Frostbite Regatta, a Second Place Finish at the Textile River Regatta, a Second Place Place Finish at the New England Junior Regional Championships, a Twentieth Place Finish (out of 74 elite international high school and club crews) at the Head of the Charles, and a Fifth Place Finish at the Founders Day Regatta in Kent, Connecticut.
