On Saturday, June 1 2019, Carole LeBlanc was inducted into the Brewster Athletic Hall of Fame.

Matt Lawlor introduced Carole LeBlanc ‘07 as one of, possibly the most accomplished female multi-sport athlete at Brewster. Carole played soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse winning three New England titles in soccer and hockey and voted Lakes Region All Star seven times. She attended the University of New Hampshire after graduating from Brewster where after her first season on the ice, she was bored and was a walk-on player the following fall for their women’s soccer team and became a regular Gold Medal Award winner. She currently works in Cyber Intelligence for the Candadian Government and is planning to embark on a sabbatical year focused on working with people with disabilities.

Carole immediately recognized, Raylene Davis, who was instrumental in supporting her English language proficiency while at Brewster as her ESL teacher and spoke about the investment and hard work that the Brewster community committed to in developing student athletes. With a slight smirk, Carole thanked soccer coach Matt Butcher for calling her in August before she arrived at Brewster to see if she wanted to play soccer for him. “I hope it was worth it,” she remarked! She shared that it was coach Jonathan Fouser who was instrumental in bringing her to campus and spoke of the many positive and impactful memories of bus rides to games and championship celebrations that she still carries in her heart. “The connections with teammates and being a part of a team became more like a family within a loving community.” The mentorship that I received helped me become a better person and taught me the important life lessons of working hard, being a team player, and a little luck!
