Entering Brewster Academy in her junior year of high school, Sadie Wright-Ward was a standout varsity athlete in Soccer and Ice Hockey during her two years as a Bobcat. She helped lead both teams to league and NEPSAC Championships as a striker in soccer and tenacious center on the ice in hockey. She set records and led Brewster in scoring during both her junior and senior seasons as a member of the Girls’ Varsity Hockey team. Wright-Ward won the coveted Athletic Director Award as a senior in 2003 for her impressive contributions to Brewster Athletics. Continuing her hockey career at the University of New Hampshire, Wright-Ward was a First Team All-American in 2006. In that same year, she was named Hockey East Player of the Year, New England Hockey Writers Association MVP, Hockey East Scoring Champion, and finished number four in the nation in total points. Since college, Wright-Ward continues to coach girls’ ice hockey at the club and high school levels, and she is currently the coach of the York (Maine) High School Girls’ Varsity Hockey team.
