Athletic Hall of Fame
The 2012 Prep Basketball Team was ranked #1 in the preseason poll among prep schools in the United States. It spent 17 weeks ranked as the top-team in the nation per Sports Illustrated and captured the program's second National Prep Championship. Â Highlights included beating Lakes Region League rival Tilton School on three occasions, including a nationally televised game on ESPN in Springfield, MA at the Spalding Hoophall Classic, and a late-season home victory that saw 1000+ fans crowd into the Smith Center for a Monday afternoon contest. The team outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points in their 33 victories. All team members played in college, including 10 at the NCAA D1 level. Â Four members of the team played in the NBA, while 2 others played in the NBA G league and /or overseas, professionally. Â
