The 2010 Varsity Field Hockey Team made Brewster Academy history, capturing both the Lakes Region Championship and the NEPSAC Class C New England Championship in the same season. The team had big match-ups throughout the fall campaign in Lakes Region play, which included wins over Tilton School, New Hampton School, and Proctor Academy, as well as a tie with its strong rival Holderness School. Brewster Field Hockey finished the regular season as Lakes Region Champions. In the postseason, the Bobcats earned a New England Class C bid as the #7 seed in tournament play. Huge upset victories over #2 Ethel Walker School and well-known Lakes Region foe #3 Holderness School brought the Bobcats one step closer to their ultimate goal. The 2010 Varsity Field Hockey Team faced off against the undefeated #1 Newton Country Day in the 2010 NEPSAC Class C finals tournament at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School. The Bobcats would once again prove their worth in performance, attitude, and commitment to turn their dream of winning the New England Championship into a reality. Brewster’s 3-1 final victory in the Championship match-up to clinch the title underlined the squad’s exceptional teamwork and character throughout the tournament. Coach Yau thanked her team at the end of the season for playing with great heart. At the conclusion of the 2010 season, Brewster Field Hockey had received its 8th NEPSAC Tournament berth in 9 seasons, bringing home to Brewster the program’s 5th championship banner.
