A member of the 1988 Class B New England Championship Brewster Basketball team, Brown was a key player - along with teammate Trey Whitfield. Between 1986-1990 Troy was selected to numerous all-star camps (including the Boston Shootout Tournament and Nike Camp).  Following Brewster, Brown was a standout student-athlete at Providence College, where he became the first Brewster Basketball Player to be drafted into the NBA in 1995 with the 45th overall selection by the Atlanta Hawks.  Brown’s professional career led him to the Denver Nuggets Mountain Review Summer League, the Boston Celtics training camp, and he has multiple pro-player contracts in France, Turkey, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Germany and more.  After retiring from basketball Troy has Volunteered as a coach and trainer for numerous AAU Programs in the Boston area, as well as other local organizations.

One of the most recruited high school student-athletes in the country between 1987 and 1990, Troy is the physical and emotional reminder of an era - a time in Brewster's history that acted as a seed to the school's current national athletic success and reputation.  Because of Troy Brown, Rogers Gymnasium was filled with college coaches from around the country.
