Thomas “TRob” Robinson was one of the best rebounders to ever play basketball at Brewster Academy.  TRob had a tremendous ability to track and rebound both in, as well as outside his area.  Robinson contacted Coach Smith in the spring of 2008 with a desire to play at a higher level of basketball and to gain exposure to NCAA coaches. Little to either’s knowledge, TRob would enjoy a spring and summer of immense success, which saw his recruiting soar to the highest levels by the time the basketball season began at Brewster. In the fall of his senior year, TRob committed to the University of Kansas. During his senior season, he averaged 16 points per game, as well as 13 rebounds per game, which earned him 1st Team All NEPSAC Class Honors, as well as 4th Team Parade All-American Honors.  Robinson was also named 1st Team National Prep All America.  At Kansas his honors included: Big 12 Player of the Year; consensus 1st Team All America; Associated Press 1st Team All America; ESPN National Player of the Year; John R. Wooden Award Finalist; Naismith College Player of the Year Finalist.  Robinson was drafted 5th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings.
